SILENT MONKS SINGING THE HALLELUJAH CHORUS

If you have either heard or sung this piece, you will be drawn right in. I could heard the music, silent as it is.
It’s a group of high school studentsplaying silent monks and “singing” the Hallelujah Chorus. The person who came up with this is brilliant.

  1. Shan says:

The person who came up with it was the music minister at Houston’s First Baptist Church in the 1980s. I remember seeing it at the Christmas pageant afterparty in 1989 when I was 12 and it was in the pageant the next year. (FBC had legendary pageants back then–full orchestra, 400-voice choir, started rehearsals in August, ran 14 performances over 9 days, seen by 50,000 people and televised nationally on Christmas Eve one year.) Amazing how many different groups I’ve seen do it since then!
