ISIS posts job ad for press officers, teachers and bomb makers (Seriously)

ISIS is hiring.

A job advertisement has surfaced online aimed at supporters of the Islamic State who do not wish to fight on the front lines.

Omar Hussain, a British jihadist who fled the UK to join the Islamic State in Syria, has posted 10 positions that the terrorist organization is looking to fill.

Writing on behalf of the group under the name Abu Sa’eed Al-Britani, the devout ISIS member explains that while not wanting to be a soldier is a “sign of weak faith,” there is still much work to be done even if you’re afraid to kill or wage jihad, the Independent reports.

Number one on the list of available occupations is press officer, needed for the so-called ISIS “media center.” This “internal media” position would provide support from the masses as Western news outlets continue to release loads of “negative propaganda” against the group, Al-Britani said.

Another post that he said needed to be filled is the role of schoolteacher. This person would ultimately be in charge of instructing the “next generation … the correct Islamic teachings.”

“Imagine the reward in nurturing a child upon tawheed (oneness with God) and jihad (holy struggle)!” Al-Britani said. “All his efforts and deeds he does due to you teaching him will earn you huge rewards. And many of these children are the sons and daughters of Mujahedeen and martyrs.”

Other less violent posts include doctors, fitness trainers, chefs and mechanics, according to the Independent.

But one job that people definitely won’t be flocking to would be in the “bomb making department.”

According to Al-Britani, duties include making explosives and being willing to wear them as a suicide bomber. He describes the position as a “beautiful job for those who truly wish to reap rewards.”

“The brothers in the bomb making department are the core and backbone of nearly every operation,” the extremist writes. “Imagine the reward in preparing a car packed with explosives for a brother to go detonate in enemy lines — you would get the same reward as the brother who pushes the button and sends 50 kuffaar (unbelievers) to hell.”

Another scary but “fun and rewarding job” would be a security officer at checkpoints in ISIS-held territories, Al-Britani said.

The career entails searching cars for banned items and spotting evidence of any offenses against Sharia law, according to the Independent.

ISIS is also looking to hire new police officers, who would patrol the streets and violently enforce strict Islamic dress codes and rules, Al-Britani said.

“They are the ones who carry out the public lashings and beheadings,” he explained. “They walk the streets with their sticks, punishing all those who break the law.”

Lastly, the Islamic State wants to bring in a new staff to their Sharia court system — but the advertisement warns that “spies get executed on the spot.”

Believed to be in his late 20s, Al-Britani traveled to Syria in January 2014 to join the jihadists. He initially trained and fought with al Qaeda affiliate Jabhat al-Nusra before eventually defecting to ISIS, the Independent reports.

Al-Britani has been seen in numerous propaganda videos on behalf of the Islamic State, including one where he threatened to send US soldiers “back one by one in coffins” and another in which he urged Muslims in the West to launch attacks at home.
